I never really consider myself to be a photographer. Though every once in a while I’ll find something that really catches my eye, and it’ll translate into a pretty good-looking picture. I mainly take pictures of natural things, though sometimes I’ll take pictures of my car or a building that I find particularly easy on the eyes. A lot of the photos that I’ve taken conduct some greater meaning, but mainly to myself. Some of them would be pretty easy to derive something beyond aesthetics from, but the beholder matters less when I take photographs for myself. Any image can tell a story, any image can mean something. But every image also can mean something completely different to the next person. That’s primarily why I don’t like to assign explicit meaning to any photograph, because nobody will have an unaltered identical view of something compared to the next.
